Racing Off...

These cute cards were created from goodies not generally found in the traditional craft shops.  They centered around fridge magnets that were on sale for R5 for 4 of them from CNA.  The ribbon and button detail I then added, I bought at my local haberdashery, for a fraction of the price that a dedicated craft shop would have charged.  The unusual shape of the card adds to it's charm - just a small change to the ordinary and it becomes extraordinary. Race on ahead!

Let's start at the very beginning...

To all South African Card Crafters out there a very BIG HELLO to you!

As this is my first attempt at creating a blog, I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I am enjoying putting it together.  My aim is to reach as many creative South Africans as I can, especially in the far flung areas of our beautiful country.

Creating and making greeting cards has been my passion now for 18 years.  Since 1992, I have not bought a single shop-sold greeting card - and proud of it!  I seldom forget friends and family birthdays and occassions and hopefully bring a lot of joy and pleasure into the lives of the people who are on the receiving end of my cards.

I would like to bring the world of personal greeting cards closer to all South Africans and beyond through the World Wide Web.  I hope to create a network of supporters from all around the world so that we are able to learn from one another, make use of each other's ideas and to share our passion for creating and making greeting cards.

I openly extend this invitation to ALL of you, share with me, share with us.

Forever Carding
